Fiddler Crabs Home

Eyestalk

Fiddler crab eyes are on a pair of short stalks which start in the interior edge of the orbis. The carapace area in bewteen the eyestalks is the “front” of the crab and this distance between the stalks is used to identify the broad-front and narrow-front species.
